THE PERFECT NEIGHBOUR! I have so many happy memories of Margaret (‘Aunty Margaret’!) and John, Carol and Lesley starting from my earliest childhood. Moving down from Manchester, Mum and Dad rented the house next door and a close and lifelong friendship began. A friendship that has led to so many happy times, deeply treasured memories and recollections. The perfect friend and neighbour Margaret was always on hand and willing to help. Margaret was an excellent Chef as well as an animal lover and Gardener Extraordinaire! Incredibly widely travelled and fascinating to talk to Margaret was also one of the kindest and most down to earth people I have ever known. ‘Our Maggie’ will be so sadly missed by so many. My late Mum (June) always described Margaret as her best friend and the photo attached has been on my Dad's mantlepiece for many years. Margaret was always interested in your day to day life and her kindness shone through. She always sent me and my sister (Helen) both Xmas and Birthday cards long after we lost Mum. I remember many happy times especially as a young lad visiting the Hargraves in Ashford back in the day. Our thoughts are with Lesley and Martin at this difficult time. David Mitton
